PUEBLO, Colo. (KKTV) - United Way of Southern Colorado is inviting community members to attend the Free Career & Family Opportunity Expo on June 30.
The event will be held from 4 p.m. to 7 p.m. at the Rocky Mountain SER Empowerment Center in Pueblo. Food, refreshments and prize giveaways will also be available.
The goal of the event is to connect individuals and families with local employers, educational opportunities, workforce development resources and community support services.
“The Career & Family Opportunity Expo is about making those connections easier. By bringing employers, educators, nonprofits, and community resources together in one place, we’re helping individuals and families access the tools, relationships, and opportunities that can help them move forward and build greater stability for the future,” said Shanna Farmer, President and CEO of United Way of Southern Colorado.

United Way of Southern Colorado is the new name of United Way of Pueblo County, which was changed earlier this month. Officials said it reflects their growing footprint across Southern Colorado while still maintaining their commitment to Pueblo County.
