(SOUTHERN COLORADO) — The Pueblo County Sheriff's Office said all evacuation orders have been lifted for the Beulah area, and re-entry cards are no longer needed for the town of Beulah. The evacuations are being lifted as the Aspen Acres Fire in Southern Colorado has burned 99,077 acres and, as of Tuesday, July 14, is at 36% containment, according to the Alaska Complex Incident Management Team 1 (CIMT1) Incident Commander, Jake Livingston.
PCSO recommends that homeowners check the interactive evacuation map for the most up-to-date information and any remaining restrictions.
As people return to their homes or properties, PCSO wants to share a few important reminders:

Register for recovery assistance at (970) 283-7325 if your home or property was impacted. This is the first step for connecting with cleanup resources such as help with ash and smoke cleanup, debris removal, damaged belongings, brush, and other needs.

Free water testing kits are available at the DAC. PCSO recommends testing water before using it for drinking or cooking.

Dispose of spoiled food properly by using the designated perishable food dumpsters.

A free community lunch will be available on Wednesday, July 15, at Greenhorn Valley Library and Beulah Elementary School.
UPDATE: Mandatory evacuations ordered for Huerfano County
TUESDAY 7/14/2026 11:25 p.m.
The Huerfano County Sheriff's Office (HCSO) has issued mandatory evacuations connected to the Aspen Acres Fire for all areas within U.S. Forest Service land and along Williams Creek
According to HCSO, the evacuations are east of where Williams Creek crosses into the National Forest, then following Williams Creek North to where Williams Creek intersects with County Road (CR) 630, then following CR 630 west to where it intersects with CR 634 or Gardner Road, then running north to the county line.

The Custer County Sheriff's Office said that starting at 10 a.m. on Tuesday, July 14, Highway 96 from Westcliffe to the Pueblo County Line was reopened.
ORIGINAL STORY: Aspen Acres Fire: More evacuations lifted in Pueblo County

The Aspen Acres Fire in Southern Colorado has burned 99,077 acres and, as of Tuesday, July 14, is at 36% containment, according to the Alaska Complex Incident Management Team 1 (CIMT1) Incident Commander, Jake Livingston. 1,872 personnel are battling the fire.
More evacuations have been lifted in Pueblo County along the northern and northeastern sides of the fire perimeter, according to the Pueblo County Sheriff's Office. Beginning at 8 a.m., evacuees can return to their homes south of Highway 96 and north of Highway 78. The area will remain under pre-evacuation orders, and the community must be prepared to leave if conditions change.

CIMT1 is alerting those returning to the area that there is still active fire suppression happening along Siloam Roads East and West, Even Road, Savage Road, and Vaughn View Drive. While the fire threat is low, crews are still working in the area. The community is asked to stay off the roads except when necessary to allow fire trucks and equipment to move freely.
Community Meeting
A community meeting for Pueblo will be held on Tuesday, July 14, at 7 p.m. at Centennial High School at 2525 Mountainview Drive.
